Farms, Families, Future

Chris Hooten is a candidate for Woodford County Magistrate committed to responsible growth, fiscal accountability, and respect for the people and land that make Woodford County strong.

With over a decade of experience in real estate, land management, and financial analysis, Chris has worked across residential, commercial, and agricultural properties, managing and evaluating portfolios valued at more than $300 million. His professional background centers on disciplined budgeting, financial modeling, and long-term planning—skills directly applicable to preparing, evaluating, and responsibly managing the Woodford County budget on behalf of taxpayers.

For the past several years, Chris has been the founder and managing principal of a local real estate investment and property management company focused on revitalizing distressed and neglected properties in Woodford County and Central Kentucky. His work has transformed aging homes into safe, high-quality, like-new residences—proving that infill development and reinvestment can meet housing needs without sacrificing productive farmland or overburdening county infrastructure.

In addition to his local work, Chris manages large agricultural land holdings, giving him firsthand experience with the value of preserving working farmland and maintaining Woodford County’s rural character. He believes strongly that growth should be intentional, infrastructure-aware, and aligned with the County’s Comprehensive Plan.

Chris also served in the Kentucky National Guard, where he managed logistics and operations supporting critical missions across the Commonwealth. His military service instilled in him the belief that every person has value and deserves dignity and respect, regardless of background which guides Chris’s approach to public service.

Chris Hooten is running for Magistrate to bring sound financial stewardship, inclusive leadership, smart growth, and a deep respect for Woodford County’s people and farmland to the Fiscal Court—working to ensure a future that is fair, sustainable, and accessible for all.
